I did find an 08′ V Star 250 today and I took a look at it and sit on it. It was definitely too small for me as far as leg room. I am going with the 08′ Ninja 250r after much debate. I Went to the dealership to check on the Ninja order and still had no luck with it arriving yet. I did put another $750.00 down today to bring my total deposit to $1,000.00 on the Ninja. I wish it would hurry up and get here! The owner of the dealership had just put a new Ninja 650 on the showroom floor and told me to try it out. I sit on it and it was actually ever so slightly more comfortable than the 250r, although not enough to add another $3,000.00 to my first bike purchase. We also decided to stop off at the Harley dealer to take a gander. I fell in love with the 2008 Sportster XL1200 custom in the 105th anniversary paint scheme! The problem was the $11,000.00 price. I will hopefully end up with one of those after I learn on my new Ninja and get through the newbie experience. The dealer told me that he will be calling Monday on the Ninja order. He is going to try to locate me one and do a dealer trade to get it with some of his other inventory. He thinks they can get a hold of a Blue bike. I prefer red or blue and will not take black at any cost and green either due to the loud color it is. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for a great resource for us beginners!
