I am 56, and just caught the bike bug after my second MI. fancy word for heart attack. I’m taking the course over this weekend and the testing next Tuesday. For the past few weeks I have been soaking up everything on bikes and riding. I think I am ready for it, but also know that there is a lesson to be learned with every ride. I am thinking of buying a used bike in the 125-750 range, and pay no more than 2500. Lots on offer from the classifieds and as always I am checking every bit of the written word on each bike. One of my searches landed me on this site and I signed up asap. Lots of good info here for all. I will certainly direct anyone who asks to this site and to be sure to read plenty before they jump into action, unless it is to take a safety course, in which case they can jump in asap.
