ParticipantIm taking my course through St. Charles parks. It is only a 2 day course 8am-5pm each day. Im mentally ready for it, im sure they will both be long days!! Yeah, i wish i had my own bike now because i would probably do the same as you did. I would feel alot more comfortable going into the course if i had time to at least get on a bike and drive it, even if its only in a parking lot. I wanted to get on a few of my buddys bikes to at least get comfortable on it as a driver, but all of their bikes are too big for me. im only 5’3 and 110lbs, so once i do get a bike im sure i will probably have to lower it or something along those lines. But i hear that lowering them makes the bike feel a little different, so im not sure. Also, since you already have taken the course, do you know if there is an expiration date on your course completion card???? That was a big question for me and the people i talked to at the park said they are pretty sure there is not an expiration date. Anyways, thankyou for all your help and info! What kind of bike do you have??

ParticipantHey right back at ya st.louisan!! Its awesome to meet new people from the area! I just registered today for a MSF course in October. I was going to wait, but they said the completion cards do not expire. So even if i dont get to get a bike till next year, this will still be good. Im kind of nervous since i have never driven a bike, just rode. I know how to drive a stick though. Do you think its silly to go in these classes with never being a driver on one?? i figured thats what they are for though!

ParticipantYeah, it is good to be on a forum where everyone is very helpful!!! It does suck i have to wait till next season, but it will be worth it. By the way, i love your quote “Yesturday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today is a bit*h” Its very true! Thanks for the warm welcome!
