Hello everyone!
Well the update for BBM has not gone very smoothly! What I thought was going to be a 2-3 hour ordeal is still not finished and I’m 3 days into it, so please bear with me. Right now I’m in the process of updating all of my articles and getting the forum functionality back to 100%
You will notice a slew of icons whenever you want to comment or post in the forums that are above the textbox. This lets you easily add pictures, links, bold, italics and all sorts of HTML goodies. I’m also going to be adding a lot of changes to the forums which will let people identify ‘veteran’ riders, and people will be able to create a more advanced profile.
I’ve got some really great reviews planned for the beginning of this year, and I also plan on letting you guys create your own reviews without having to e-mail me the article and whatnot. I think this would be a great way to share all of your knowledge in a way that will last longer than a simple forum post.
I hope to have BBM full operational within 1-2 weeks, but until then feel free to make any suggestions for new features, critiques about the site, or your thoughts in general. Thanks everyone, and happy new year!

January 1, 2009 at 7:19 am #15470BenParticipantHaha, you seem to be the first person to witness all the weird bugs of the site. I just had a major error happen I saw you were online so I took it offline for a second to fix it lol.

Glad you got it back up and running, Ben. Happy New Year to everyone here!January 1, 2009 at 7:47 pm #15473Clay DowlingParticipantIf you’re having troubles, I do some Drupal consulting. Drop me a note privately if you need a hand.
January 1, 2009 at 8:58 pm #15475BenParticipantoooooooooooo I might just do that. I’m really a big n00b at drupal, I know just enough coding to get by…

So far so good…. maybe a lil less brightly lit….might would be my only suggestion. Other then that I can just play with my screen to suit me. All this light colors and small print makes it tough on tired eyes.
Love the new tool bar, though I was starting to remember some of my HTML the other way…now I can resume being lazy.January 2, 2009 at 12:41 am #15480WeeWooParticipantDecided to finally get an account here in celebration of the new layout. You did a great job with it; the site looks great. Cheers!
January 2, 2009 at 7:36 am #15489MaxDadAKParticipantHey good to see the site up and running again. I was in the same funk munch was when I first saw it was offline. I figured I finally found a good site and BLAMMO it’s off line. Like the updates though very modernesque. (not sure if that’s a word but it looks fancy) Happy new year Ben and take care of yourself and watch those lane splits.
January 5, 2009 at 3:35 am #15541megaspazParticipantThe original zen theme’s missing the BBM logo/header at the top of the site.
January 5, 2009 at 5:36 am #15548BenParticipantIs that like a different theme than the default one you are looking at? If so I need to disable that, but you might be able to check them out because you are a moderator.
Ben
January 5, 2009 at 5:57 am #15549megaspazParticipantYeh. it’s the zen classic theme. Looks like this theme doesn’t show the avatars either. It’s actually a nice theme otherwise.
January 5, 2009 at 11:33 pm #15553BenParticipantYeah the current BBM theme is actually based on the Zen theme with heavy modifcation. Really clean code (at least until I started the modding…).
