Yes in PA the MSF class is FREE!!! Oh don’t bother getting a cheap helmet either you’ll regret it if you do get into an accident. Take the hit now and get something that’s been tested, it maybe pricier but you will not regret it.

I think part of the problem up here is it’s a governmnet program. So you have to pay for the 18 layers of bureacracy that went into setting it up.

I haven’t taken the course yet, but her in the North Dallas area, I paid $190 for the BRC. I’ll probably need to shell out a few more sheckles for some basic gear between now and the class, but that’s ok. As far as I’m concerned, there ain’t nothin’ free in life, and education certainly falls into that category. $200 is cheap compared with the alternatives.

$180 for basic course here. They want you to bring some of your own gear though, so I’m in the same boat you are CityHunter357. I agree with you though; a cool quote I read in a book by Robert A. Heinlein is TANSTAAFL: There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch! And I would much rather pay a couple hundred dollars for gear and training than a couple thousand in the hospital O_o Dad said I would be taking the course in a few weeks…I’m holding him to his word data-lazy-src=
