Haha I also picked up my own GS500f a few weeks ago, but you definitely got a good deal! I payed $4500 for my 2005 with ~1300 miles on it. I can’t wait to start riding mine, which will be this weekend weather permitting. My dad took it for a spin and his comments were about the same as everyone else’s, that it runs at a higher rpm than most.

June 27, 2008 at 8:30 pm #7974CBennettParticipantSo is $4,200-4600 a good price on a 500F? Thats what they go for around here but when I saw the OP price of $2500 I was like…wholy cow either he got a smokin deal OR they are real expensive here. They have a 2005 and I think a 2007 GS 500 F localy in the $4500 range(give or take $200). Is that about right or is it high..I just may have to go back and look again if its a “appropriate” price.

July 2, 2008 at 8:18 pm #8219ShannonGParticipantI got mine brand new for $5800 CDN. MSRP is $6499 up here.
July 2, 2008 at 8:22 pm #8220ShannonGParticipantFeel free to check out my bike mods album on Facebook:
July 5, 2008 at 4:51 pm #8387CBennettParticipantlol i would have looked if i did not have to “sign up/create a account” to do so.
July 5, 2008 at 10:09 pm #8401ShannonGParticipantShoot! Sorry – I just can’t get the picture to work no matter what I do.
July 6, 2008 at 12:38 am #8399CBennettParticipanthows it sit meaning seat position…straighter like a standard or hunched over like a bigger sportsbike? I have sat on the ninja 250 and the Buell Blast so far and those positions are good for me…the bigger Gixxer 600 id NOT like its soo forward/hunched over.
July 6, 2008 at 1:34 am #8406megaspazParticipantdun worry. it’s not you… at the moment…
