ParticipantThat last video… incredible!

ParticipantGreat photo. The only thing missing was the beautiful model.

ParticipantThe video was grate. I didn’t know a bike could be submerged that deep in the water. Not a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas, but the music video of the song is kinda cool.

ParticipantI wave at riders from my car, and they look at me funny. Ben, every time I see one of your post, I celebrate, ’cause I don’t see you often:D

ParticipantWell, where I live, 85 degrees is cool and breezy. In the caribbean, its summer throughout all year and we (well, not everyone) is used to the heat. But, I think that both of us will agree that being sweaty is far better than having a road rash tattoo.

ParticipantWhen I took my bike class, the instructor told me to have my wrist slightly under the throttle, so in case you fall backwards because of the impulse of to much gas, straightaning back would pull on the wrist, hence decelerating. If you have your wrist over the throttle, if you get pushed backwards, the wrist would straighten down and accelerate the throttle. That’s what I learned and I think that it’s the correct way to do it.
Happy riding:

ParticipantWoah! That’s an awesome looking bike!

ParticipantWell, pro or not, you are there and you do it, and doing it well. Keep the awesome videos coming.

ParticipantYeah. Sometimes you think you are f@#% up, but when you look around, you might be better than most of people. Why complain when you can act?
About the song: I really like it, but the music video really sucks! I only have it on mp3. I’m from the Caribbean, Jamaica is one of my far neighbors, so I know the music and enjoy it.

ParticipantI’m not going to buy my bike until may of next year, but until that time comes, I’m going to be buying my jacket, helmet and knee/shin guards (already bought the gloves). Gear is a must, and I agree with you that having it on doesn’t mean that you can be a little careless. If you hit the pavement, it really makes a difference.

ParticipantHi. The thing I don,t know how to do is upload videos. I’ve seen the vids other members put here, but I don’t know how. Can you guys tell me?
yugen852
ParticipantMan, you sure know how to ride. Those were some sick leans. Do you do this professionaly?

ParticipantBefore I even took my first class, I researched about the handling, throttle, etc. And then I practiced (I sat on my couch and spread my legs like I was sitting on a bike). I imagined the movements and brakes and turns and stuff. When I took the course, I knew what to expect. I trusted the movements of the bike and aced the test. I think it all has to do with your mind. Practice, know what to expect, and if you do that, I’ll expect you to ace the test, too.
Good luck!:

ParticipantI’m new to the motorbike world, too. In the States, you have to take a course so you can earn your certificate and with that obtain your licence (or something like that). The more experienced riders here may give you more useful information than I. But, you could go to your nearest motorcycle shop and ask around. That’s how a learned a few things. Anyway, welcome to BBM.
