ParticipantThe point-and-shoot cameras are not bad by themselves. They just limit shot possibilities too much. Plus lesser quality due to small sensor and plastic lenses.

ParticipantYea, wireless triggers are so expensive. Eventually I’m going to get another strobe and then I’ll have a problem of running all those wires around.
As far as focus is concerned, I used auto-focus, but of course, manual focus could be the solution. You see, when you check the picture on that tiny LCD screen it all looks sharp enough
So you’re a macro photographer? I’ve googled your nickname

ParticipantI was shooting with Nikon D80 on tripod and a SB-24 on the right with reflective umbrella. The problem with DOF was that I had to focus on the helmet, set the timer and run to the bike to pose. Therefore my face isn’t really in focus. I guess I could’ve close the diaphragm more and compensate with slower shutter and higher ISO, but in the rush of running around I forgot about it

ParticipantMask… what mask?

Participantronkore, it means you’ve never been yet past 35mph… makes me wonder what kind of joke Kawasaki is pulling on its customers for many years now. Get a sparkling new bike and don’t touch the throttle for the what seems an eternity

ParticipantApparently my “last” question never ends
Every time I come up with a new question which I’d never ask for car related driving.
How and where do you park? Do you lock the bike with a chain of some sort; are you allowed to park in a car space?
Thanks

ParticipantThanks guys for your responses, they are really helpful.
One last question is do you listen to a radio/ipod/etc while riding? If yes – how. Thanks again.

ParticipantYeah, I’ve been saying the same about rain here, but it has been occasionally raining over a month now
What kind of bike do you have? I’ve seen the picture but can’t recognize it.

ParticipantThanks Matt, you’ve explained it really well!
Then the next question is how difficult/dangerous to ride a bike on occasional showers or just wet pavement? Is it a good enough reason to put the bike away and use other transportation? In my case, I don’t use freeway for daily commute.
Thanks
