I’ve ridden quad’s too, so I know the position, just the ones I’ve ridden didn’t have a clutch. And they had a thumb throttle thing.

I’ve never really been in the position to drive a manual car, even though when I was 13 one of my dads girlfriends tried to teach me. Didn’t really work out too good. I couldn’t get it to move. Hahaha.

Did you know how to shift before you got there? With clutch and everything?

I didn’t even think of that! That’s good advice. Very, very good.

    9. Passing cars only going half your speed may cause a crash.
I don’t really get this one.

    36. New rainfall after a dry spell brings up oil under the road surface- there is more traction after it has rained a while.
    Didn’t know that!

    50. Take a deep breath and count to ten, after some clown that got their driver’s license from a Crackerjack box almost kills you.
Very very true. I use this everyday, even when I’m not driving.

I’ll be sure to do that. Thanks for the advice.

I don’t know. The guy at the dealership said they’d stamp it. But I think they give you a new one like yours.

I went to the dealership, they are fantastic! I sat on a 2010 Ninja 250R, LOVED IT! It was perfect. It fit my thighs perfectly, like it was made just for me! I told them I was looking for an older used model, they said they could do that. It’d still be under warranty and everything. They also told me whenever I was ready to buy one, they’d start looking for me. Very friendly and helpful. The guy even held the bike so I could fully sit on it. I’ll have to lower the seat a bit, but not as much as I was thinking.

I tried on the same helmet I was thinking of buying. It was huge, even with a small, and I would need an extra small. So I went over and talked to their helmet specialist. I asked him what he though, he said they were too bulky and hot for him. Which is what I thought. Way too tight and heavy for me. He suggested the HJC FS-15. I tried on a small, thought it moved too much so I’ll be getting an extra small when I go back in Monday to order it.

Overall, a very good day. :) Super excited. Just gotta figure out how much the bikes gonna cost me!

I’m so excited! It was perfect! They had a 2010 Ninja 250R on display. I sat on it, it felt fantastic. I had the guy help hold it up while I sat on it, just to get a feel. I’m going to have to lower the seat a tad, but not as much as I was expecting. Plus the insurance guy was there, so that’s fantastic.

They said they could get me an ’08 250R, and that all the ones they get are under warranty and everything like that. They were really friendly and everything. Makes me feel good. They also offer the class there for $200. They said I’d just have to take the class and go to the DMV and they’d stamp my license.

Thanks so much everyone! A lot of good stuff. I’ll be sure to wear it around the store for a bit. But sadly, that’s really the only dealership around my parts. So if they don’t have people to know what they are doing I’m screwed. Which I think they would..it’s been around for about 5 years now. But I’ll be sure to be super diligent.

Can you wear glasses in a helmet? Like sun/regular?
    What about radios?

Everyone has their own terms they like to use. He meant leaning forward. He likes the style, not like he’s ever ridden one before. I told him to do more research on his bike.

We aren’t really having an argument over it. I think you’re taking it the wrong way. They just said I wasn’t fit for it, but they can think what they want and I’ll prove them wrong. :) Plus he’s never seen the bike before.

Well I was planning on doing that, but I don’t think they sell Icon where I’m going. But I just got sized for my cap and gown for graduation, so I know my head measurements. And I’m not going to buy my jacket and everything online. I’d have to keep returning it to make sure I liked the size.

Oh yes. I’m getting mine Friday when I get paid. I found a SUPER deal. I’m getting the Icon Airframe Siren. $330.00 for $156.00! It’s hella fine too. Teal and hot pink with an manga girl riding. Ahhh..makes my heart happy.

That looks fantastic. Makes me excited! I get to go look at some tomorrow!

My only question is where you got it? I think on that Kawasaki website they had a ‘buy a green save green’ thing. Did that apply?

Crashing doesn’t sound like fun. At all, but it’s gonna happen, one way or another. So I just wanted to see which would be better. I want to keep my face pretty.

I’ve had a good deal experience rope jumping, I’m a pro at that. Hahaha…

I guess it was a stupid question. Asking “how” to crash.

Hopefully I won’t have to. Even if I did, it would only be a little. Just enough so I wouldn’t have to be tippy toeing it all the time.
