Thanks for the good advice. It was my first time on a bike and everything had been going pretty well. My friend was teaching me and we had been riding for about 4 hours before I hit this sandy spot and laid the bike down. Fortunately i had been wearing a helmet and a leather jacket with some armor or it would have been a lot worse.
