Nice bike. Kinda looks like a sportster. Grats & safe driving.
acidpopeParticipant“An actual rocket scientist” ! (loved the humor in that article)
That was no less than a fantastic article that I would suggest anyone who is ignorant on helmet standards and safety (like me) should read before even clicking on that first link to shop for a helmet, or going down the the local shop. Being uneducated I was completely under the impression that the DOT standard, being a government standard, was the bottem of the barrel that manufacturers needed to achieve to sell their helmets here in the states. I was, as that article shows, absoletely wrong. Uncle Sam actually does a decent job with their DOT program! What’s more manufacturers out there are apparently meeting, and beating, this standard with helmets I don’t need a loan to afford!
It was very interesting to see that Snell, in their reply, seemed almost exclusively concerned with their own image and not in the least interested in changing their practices to achieve an even safer helmet for everyone of all sizes.
acidpopeParticipantI know I do.

It’s the youtube page for Jerry “Motorman” Palladino, who is a cop and I think an instructor. He also has his own website which sells instructional videos for new riders at: http://www.ridelikeapro.com/
I also watch some self made videos (instructional) at youtube and any video I can get my hands on regarding any bike I’m interested in (looking for my first).
acidpopeParticipantThose Gmax look really great. When I saw all the features it had I was expecting it to be alot of money, but dang it’s affordable at around 100-120. webBikeWorld gave it it’s helmet of the year award too (’07)! Thanks for posting about them.
