I recently watched a “How to ride a Motorcycle” video they have several. but this one particular one that talked about shifting gears. The guy said that after first gear you no longer have to use the cutch to shift into higher gears but you have to use the clutch to shift down (which I already kew). He demonstrated on his bike and it worked. Basically what I anm asking is. is this [possible and if so can it be done on a 250 bike?

Clutchless shifting can be done fairly easily, you just have to make sure the bike is in a high enough RPM. I generally use the clutch to shift though, its a good habit to get into in my opinion.

It’s the youtube page for Jerry “Motorman” Palladino, who is a cop and I think an instructor. He also has his own website which sells instructional videos for new riders at: http://www.ridelikeapro.com/

I also watch some self made videos (instructional) at youtube and any video I can get my hands on regarding any bike I’m interested in (looking for my first).
