you know I’ve been staying away from harley’s on purpose just because it seems the price is so inflated just for brand recognition, but i really like the iron 883 now that i’ve looked at it. I’ve read that the MC’s can be a bit cramped for someover over 6′ like myself, but if i could stick a set of FC’s on it i think it definitely makes my wishlist for 2nd or 3rd bike.

I also see that HD just today put up previews for their ’10 bikes. No new sportsters, but if your a touring kind of guy there’s lots of new eye-candy over there for ya.

I haven’t had a chance to sit on a ninja 500 yet, none of the dealers around here have them in stock, they only carry the 250 and 650 as they are the more popular models i suppose.

If anyone has any other ideas for a good sit (cruiser or sport, i’m not opposed to either) let me know.

Thanks for the comments so far. I definitely don’t plan on buying anything in a rush. More than likely I’ll wait till the end of the riding season (nebraska) and see if i can find any good deals then or possibly wait till next spring to make a purchase. I think after taking the MSF this weekend i’ll have quite a bit more confidence in handling my dad’s 750 and can ride that till the end of this season to get the experience under my belt.

Has anyone else noticed these trends i mentioned with used small bikes keeping value so well in their area also, or is this just a current economy effect?
