great answers! thanks!
That makes sense with the mpg, I am usually riding 55 down the highway in the open wind, so I guess it makes sense I am getting around 50mpg, I was just hoping for a little better. I will try using lower rev’s/shifting and ducking down to see if that helps.
Thanks for the advice on chain lubing, I will check out info online. Wow, definitely will keep the bike turned off, I’m not the brightest bulb in the pack but wrapping a towel around a moving chain sounds like a fast road to hurt city!
Thanks again, been raining for two days here, but already have my next ride planned out!

aantionettiParticipanti will probably go check it out this weekend. yes, is it bigger than what i have been looking for, but it is literally the same price as a ninja250, ninja500, and honda rebel that i was looking at, add to that the great reviews and i am seriously interested.
I checked out the specs online and it seems to physically compare well with the 2008 ninja500 i was looking at but with the nice addition of EFI.
If i get it, will definitely take it slow, thanks for the support!
J.H.aantionettiParticipanti am really interested in the TU250 or the ninja250. i will mostly be riding around town and to work (2 miles on a 2 lane highway).
any advice on the TU250? is it worth it for the EFI?
aantionettiParticipantwhat do you ride? i have been told by people i work with and different forums online and salespeople that some small bikes (ninja250, rebel, gz250) sometimes take longer tan 5 minutes to warm up. thanks for your advice!

aantionettiParticipantthanks for the helpful comments!
i am really leaning toward the suzuki tu250 but will hit up craigslist a lot before my final decision!
aantionettiParticipantthank you for your concern, i was asking about the practicality of driving a carb’d bike vs a fuel injected. i took the MSF class, am a very good driver (used to do deliveries for a living, no tickets/crashes) and after reading much materials online and on this site i am fully focused on riding properly.
thanks for your help!

aantionettiParticipantthanks for your help, i am interested in a motorcycle because i have to ride 2 miles on a 2 lane highway with no shoulder and lots of semis going 55-60mp.
thanks for the info on warming up, the reason i asked is because i have read many places online that say it takes 5-10 minutes to warm up a carb bike, not ever having a motorcycle before i was not sure
thanks!
