Years ago I was somewhat of a wine geek. I remember a list entitled “You know you’re a wine geek when…” My favorite, actually the only one I remember, was “You know you’re a wine geek when you can say the word bunghole with a straight face.”

Led me to think about compiling a list for motorcycle geeks. Here’s one to start, “You know you’re a motorcycle geek when you think J Lo rides for Yamaha”

    Feel free to add.

You know you’re a motorcycle geek when wearing black leather to your favorite vehicle dealership is socially acceptable and even stylish.

You know you’re a motorcycle geek when you have more riding gear then street/dress clothes.

You know you’re a motorcycle geek when you find yourself checking the BBM forums incessantly all day at work in the hope that you can live vicariously through somebody who’s actually getting to ride.

You know you’re a motorcycle geek when you “tuck your bike in” at night when closing the garage.

You know you’re a motorcycle geek when you look at a picture of a scantily clad girl straddling a motorcycle and the first thought that pops into your head is “Where’s the riding gear? ATGATT!”

When you know exactly how many groceries will fit in your backpack or tailbag, and that a bag of chips will fit just fine under your jacket on the ride home from the store.

I use a bungie net, and when I stop at the store for groceries, I’ll frequently buy things that I didn’t actually stop for, based on size and shape, so that they fill out the net just right (too few items and it won’t be snug, too many, won’t fit).

    Geek
One definition is: “a carnival performer who does wild or disgusting acts”
…I witnessed 2 riders pulling wheelies to see who could lick their front fender, they must qualify.
