Okay, so I’m having a hard time finding pants that will both fit my inseam and have the features that I want. I had a pair of size 10 (women’s) Fieldsheer pants, and they were wicked retarded short. They came way above my ankles, and even with 8 in. high boots, they still came above my boot line.
What I want:
long inseam (if more than 33 inches, adjustable would be nice)
CE approved hip/knee protectors
2-way zipper on side of legs
velcro on the ankles (or back of leg) to close off the bottom of the pant
liner included, overpant style
waist adjusters
water proof
comfortable to ride on a street bike
reflective pipingSo far the only thing that I can find that I like are the Joe Rocket Women’s Ballistic 7.0 Pants. They don’t have the reflective piping, but I can sew on some tape, no biggie. I’m only 5’5″, but all the pants I’ve tried on are too short. These have a 35 inch inseam. Does anyone have these? How short can you make them w/ the snaps? How tight can you make the velcro on the bottom. If you get them to ride on your hips, do they ride up on to your belly button (I hate that!)?
I looked at the 32 inch inseam, but I think they’d be too short. Are there any other pants that come close to the joe rockets? I just want to see if anyone has them before I spend 135 bucks on them.
Thanks so much!!!!!!

I would guess that the major issue is that if you are hippy, you might find them too loose in the thighs and knees…

The store here I swear only has stuff for super huge people. I gave my husband my pants b/c he’s got stubs below the hips. I don’t know if I’m curvy, but men’s stuff normally fits me like crap. Of course my women’s jacket leaves room for like humgo boobs, and I couldn’t go smaller because my torso and arm length. It fits great, I just look really funny if I sit down with it on when not on the bike. I’m going to try and see what they have at my local store maybe tomorrow, they said they were getting a new brand in, but didn’t tell me what it was. Anyways, thanks. I’ll see what else I can find.
