Okay, so this post could be considered as spam but I’ve got to sell some raffle tickets and I figured some of you may be interested in the prize. If anyone objects I will remove this post.
The prize is the latest Contour HD helmet cam that comes with built in GPS. This allows your movies to have a Google maps overlay showing your position as you move along. The camera on offer has a $350 retail value and we are selling tickets at $5 (maximum of 200 tickets). Draw will be held on 3/17/2011 or once all tickets have been sold. The winner will be announced on meetup.com/seattleriders. The profits from this are going to fund a cross country ride next summer where some of us are hauling our bikes to North Carolina to ride the Dragon, Blue Ridge Pkwy etc before riding cross country back to Seattle. I just want to stress this is not for some worth charity but to fund an epic ride where some members might struggle for finances.
If anyone is interested send me a PM and we can sort out the details. I figure I could set up a PayPal account to accept payments and email you a scanned version of your ticket (or mail the ticket to you if you prefer). I would pay shipping to get the camera to you if you are the winner.
Well I am strapped for cash…. but depending on the weather and timing … hell I am 4 hours away from the dragon. Might come and meet ya. IF work allows.
Current plan is to be there for 2 days mid June, but that may change to July to accommodate another rider. So much to do before then, like get me a real bike!
