I think squid crash videos are awesome to watch. It’s even better than watching movie special effects, until I start thinking about the human tolls behind each crash.

But with these crashes, for the most part they’re harmless. Yeah, they might have gotten really bad road rash, a broken nose, a broken leg, broken ribs, whatever, but they’re not going to die, lose a limb, or hit vegetative state as a result of their [altogether deserved] accidents. That makes me feel better about laughing my ass off at them.

My bike insurance for a year is what my car insurance costs every 6 months.
And the bike itself is better insured sitting still and moving than the car.
January 10, 2010 at 10:53 am #23962eternal05ParticipantYou’re insuring an older small-displacement bike. The price of insurance drops dramatically for motorcycles the farther they get from being new. If this was an ’05 DR-Z instead of an ’09, the price would drop to ~$300.
January 21, 2010 at 3:09 pm #24113WetmelonParticipantAt Geico, I got a quote for a 2010 Ninja 650r. I’m 18, with no MSF, and no riding experience. $300 full year. I say that’s a pretty good deal I had a screenshot, but it loooks like I’ve deleted it.
P.s. What happened at 1:43 in that video? It looks like something breaks on his bike?
