I have no gear and just need to know some good places to pick up some cheap quality gear. I also would like something a bit on the stylish side…. Of course safety is first but i would also like to look good… lol
May 19, 2010 at 8:25 pm #26571JackTradeParticipantmotorcyclecloseouts.com for great discounts on last season’s stuff. They don’t have everything in every color or size, but if they have yours, you’ll save a bundle.
newenough.com for all around good prices, amazing customer service and information.
Also, check out your local dealers…they often have sales, and it’s good to support ’em when you can (i.e. when they have something you want and it’s not insanely overpriced).

Cycle Gear has OK prices, much better on their close-out/clearance items, and decent selection.

There are two things I wouldn’t get over the i-net; a bride or a helmet…You just don’t know how they’re going to work until they show up on your door step, it’s your life and they both are difficult to send back.

May 20, 2010 at 4:38 am #26596eonParticipantBut she might suffocate on the way back?
May 20, 2010 at 4:58 am #26597ShamRock229ParticipantNow that depends on whether you use packing peanuts or bubble wrap…
May 22, 2010 at 1:36 am #26649owlieParticipantFYI- Don’t ever buy your helmet used. You don’t know what it has already been through.
Honestly, I would be uncomfortable buying any of my safety gear used. But helmets- Never, never, never.
