ParticipantMaybe I’m just getting old but I find it hard to get excited about the looks of a lot of bikes these days. Just back from the Motorcycle show and a lot of the old bikes seem to have clean and elegant lines. The newer ones just seem to have plastic stuck on to differentiate from last years model or some god awful headlamp configuration.

ParticipantI just returned from the Toronto Motorcycle Show an hour ago, spent a mere 6.5 hours today throwing my leg over nearly every bike of my dreams and brought home a beautiful new Nexx carbon fiber helmet. My show favorites were the BMW K1300S, Honda VFR 1200, Honda CBR125R and CBR250R, Moto Guzzi V7 Cafe Classic, Cafe kitted Royal Enfield, MV Agusta, Ducati 1198 and the new 2011 Norton Commando …just in case anyone would like to buy me something nice for christmas

ParticipantThink this one would actually qualify as an FTD
I want to see what he does once the front half clears the rock and he sumps out the leaf spring, foot holder, bash plate thingy, …talk about a steering deficite !
The spring saddle is obviously to get a better launch over the handlebars, but I’m not totally certain what the rear fender is for, high speed maybe ?January 25, 2011 at 1:49 am #29149kirk
