ParticipantMy local dealer tells me that the Ninja 250 out sells any other bike by about 2 to 1. Yet in the year that I’ve been riding, I’ve probably only seen 2 or 3 on the road, while I’ve seen more GXRs, SGVs, and CBRs than I can count.
Where are all of these 250s?

ParticipantI don’t know what state you are in but I’m in Illinois and last year when I was looking for a 250 there were ZERO at any dealers and I was wondering the same thing because I don’t see any 250’s on the road and everyone I know has a 1000cc or higher.
I think that dealers in my area only order like one or two 250’s and that’s it and all the rest of the 250’s must be in California. Don’t quote me, I’m only guessing.

ParticipantDown here in FL I see a fair number of them. They are not exactly flooding the market, though. I do see a lot of older ninja 250’s on the road. I never completely trust the words that come out of the mouths of salesmen working the floor.

ParticipantHeck the stealerships here have 2 on the floor constantly…though it’s never the smae bike. They know what they sale and order one the same day they sale one. The salesperson says he always keeps atleast 1 on hand.

ParticipantI haven’t seen any on Craigslist or on the road around here. Though the dealership had one in stock a couple weeks ago and when I picked up my new helmet Saturday, it was gone.
I see a few ancient Rebels and GZ250’s on Craigslist though. Some not even running… Not only would you need to learn to ride on one, but you’d need to learn how to fix it, lol.

ParticipantRenton Motorcycles (southeast of Seattle), and they had 2 new and one used (08) Ninja 250, along with a Ninja 500, a couple TU250’s, a Rebel…
