so… I was looking at what future bikes I would buy once I want to move up from the 250R. I thought a natural progression would be the 650R, but they don’t offer it in blue! So, all of my nice matching gear would be way out of place…

on another note, i’m debating whether it is worth upgrading the 250R (exhaust, re-jet, double-bubble front, sprocket change, fender eliminator) or just biting the bullet and buying a 500-650 cc bike (sv650s, 650r, cbr600rr)…

has anyone out there modded their 250R? seen much difference?

I hear there are plenty of mods for the 250… but honestly in terms of performance, I would just upgrade if I were you.

Decisions, decisions. I love my GS500f just the way it is, but am doing upgrades mostly for the stickers so that I can make it look like a race bike. I am buying new grips with my next paycheck based on which brand comes with stickers. So far all I have is a Yoshi sticker, but I am waiting on my Dynojet kit and K&N air filter.
If you are happy with your bike, spending a few hundred dollars on upgrades doesn’t seem crazy to me. Just remember it is a 250, so there will be limit as to how much power you’ll be able to wring out of it.

I think you should move up. But wait a few months so I can afford to buy yours. hahaha.
It depends on how happy you are with the 250.

There is one sitting at my dealer right now, so I suspect they exist. I could be wrong about the year, but I did sit on it and I thought it was an ’08.
