I’m wanting something that gets good fuel economy, and since i have never riden a motorcycle before i want something i can learn on. I was looking at the ninja 250r but Im afraid it wont haul me around. I’m a tick over 6′ and almost 300 lbs. Any suggestions on any bike to point me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks

As far as weight wise goes I think you would be alright. My friend has a new one and is about your weight. He adjusted the preloader for the shocks to make them a little stiffer because of his weight. Height wise I am not sure how the ergonomics would be for you but I don’t know if you have sat on one and got a feel for it or just looked at them online.

Kawasaki Vulcan 500
Buell Blast
Suzuki S40Not sport bikes, but all good beginner bikes for someone who wants a little more juice than a 250.
