Ok, I am back in love with Triumph! I rode the Bonneville T-100 which is still too big for me, the Bonneville SE which is PERFECT for me – love it, and I rode the Speedtriple, I couldn’t wait to get off of it. I can’t wait to buy my SE but that won’t be this year, ah well, something to look forward to!

Had to go look up a picture of an SE. Why is it these retro bikes look so good? Can’t say I remember that style even though I was a kid in Britain in the 70’s. But something about it just feels right.

Let us know when you finally get one. That will be a good day.

Glad youve found a bike that’s *you*. I’m still searching for mine, but I think that it lies somewhere in the area of Supermotard style bikes.

I don’t know why they look so good. I obviously think they do but my brother said they were ugly. I was aghast.

I forgot to say that on one of the rides we saw a guy do a wheelie – a big wheelie. I had never seen that before live and in the flesh.

It’s a feat to handle a Speed Triple. Those things are beasts. Drool-worthy beasts, but beasts nonetheless.

Oh really? I didn’t know what I was getting into at the time. I didn’t feel in control on it and I was really happy when I arrived back at the dealership in one piece. I could not go medium speed on it and I was jerky a lot. I was just kind of feeling scared on it. So, X that one off the list!

Cool. Glad the SE has renewed your interest. The bonnie is a great bike. I’ve got several friends who own them and wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on the Speed Triple. I’d probably feel the same way. I’ve been looking at the Street Triple as a second bike (that or a Monster 696), but that will probably be a couple of years away. I’m quite happy with my little Speedmaster for now.

I’ve seen the triple in person and I love the style. But that twitchy throttle scares the shyte outta me!
