I would think if you offer a refundable deposit of some kind it shouldn’t be an issue.

Besides, close to three hours on a bike for your first ride? Doable, but not the safest idea.

“The two seconds between ‘Oh S**!’ and the crash isn’t a lot of practice time.”August 8, 2008 at 1:53 pm #10083AndrewParticipantIf it was just a couple of hours on country roads then I’d consider it to be honest. What worries me is getting the bike from somewhere in the Chicago burbs to those country roads. I have passed the MSF but have not ridden in traffic. Chicago traffic would be more of a baptism of fire than I’m looking for.
I will do some calling locally to see whats available but craigslist has no 250 cc bikes in my area and my local Honda dealer has no 250cc bikes of any description until the 2009’s start arriving.

Simply pull the truck up, ride the bike in. Granted, a ranger may be a bit low, but it’s still easier to have a couple guys lift the bike down a couple inches rather than up a few feet. Go on a weekend or after hours when the business is closed or simply ask….my buddy at the local plant world lets me use their loading dock so long as i buy him a few beers…..
