Ok, make that a good weekend. Today I went on a group ride organized by a local online bike magazine to the Olympic Peninsula. This is an absolutely gorgeous area surrounded by towering mountains on one side and the sea on the other and the entire area is criss-crossed by twisty backroads. Lots of fun.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were joined on the ride by the owners of the local Aprilla/Moto Guzzi dealership on a pair of very nice Guzzi Brevia’s. I will have to look more into what bikes they offer as this model looked very nice. And then at lunch we were joined by David Hough of Proficient Motorcycling fame. That was kind of cool. It was even better when he led us out after lunch to go riding round his backroads. He was going kind of slow though, but is was neat to be tooling along behind him. Couldn’t help but force me to think of all the things I was supposed to be looking out for!
Today was all about riding so I didn’t really get a chance to take many pictures, but I did grab a couple.
Mr Hough on a very nice BMWAnd here a few pics from a solo ride the day before.
