ParticipantHi,
I’m a 24 old guy from Belgium. I’ve been driving a Suzuki GN125 for the last 2 years and I feel it’s time to get something a little bigger.
I’ve found a Suzuki GSX750E online that looks fairly cheap. The bike is made in 1982, so it’s also fairly old.
So, two questions, should I jump from 125 to 750 and will I kill myself in the process? And is it a good idea to buy a 28-year-old motorcycle?
Greetings,

ParticipantGoing from a 125 to a 750cc sportbike is doable, especially for an older sportbike that is not as ridiculously fast as the newer ones. Be extra careful with the throttle and front brake at first.
I would have a mechanic check this 1982 bike, including a compression check and a test ride. A bike this old might need a lot of parts over the next few years to keep it running, and it might be difficult to find new parts for it. You might need to search for used parts.
