First trackday in Novice(C Group) @ Thunderhill Raceway Park organized by Zoom Zoom.

More photos of this trackday can be found @ 4theriders website.

Note to self: Take off the mirrors next time. Painter’s tape kinda sucks… Oh yeh and not be passive and hook up with an instructer… Oh yeh, and do consecutive days next time instead of 1 day…

My pics… More pics and videos from other attendees found @ Barf

I think your back tire is a little low. For traction? So, did you get lots of good pointers. Form looks pretty good.

Tires were pumped to standard street spec. I did talk to a tire guy the other day and he said the tires should be pumped heavier though. Since pilot powers are considerably softer than others, he suggested 36/36 front/rear.

My body position sucks. Well it might be ok for the amount of entry speed I was doing, which wasn’t very fast… :D

    :-P

my body position and entry speeds weren’t condusive for dragging knee… that and the fact since my goal wasn’t to drag knee that day, i wasn’t even sticking it out. ;-)

Sure, you were twisting in some of the picks, but I see at least one where you got the dip going on. At least you were never hanging off the opposite side.

From the looks of some of the stronger leans you were a couple degrees from sliding it… you bout run outta tire.

I cant wait to go to a track. So you dont have your duc fixed yet? I bet that wouldve been fun out there. Also whats the tape for?

The duc’s been fixed for while. Not taking it to the track until I get some more track miles under my belt. The tape’s for covering things that blink, light, or are made of glass. In reality, only the headlight and mirrors needed to be taped since it’s got glass parts in there and I disconnected most everything… And I wasn’t planning on using the front blinkers. Next time I’m taking off the mirrors, watching tape flap around was annoying as well as instinctively looking in the mirrors…
