THErook here!
I have been lurking this forum for a while but thought I may as well join the party.
My question to you all “vets” and such is….
With the limited space (by limited i mean almost non-existant) to store goodies in sportbikes, what are the handiest things you guys have found to carry?

May 8, 2009 at 5:31 am #18251molintorchParticipantfor me, hands down my mini corbin tank bag has been the best addition to my ninja 650r. I use to carry the basics in my jacket (wallet, phone, keys), and I find I ride much better without that added junk in my jacket!
Not sure if thats what you are looking for… but hey theres my answer!

I have a small Joe Rocket tank bag that I’ll use to carry an extra pair of gloves (if I think the temp will change enough to warrant it), a multi-hex wrench, a calendar that I use to track mileage and gas consumption, a cloth to clean off my visor… And sometimes I’ll add a little food if the ride will be longer. I have a pair of sunglasses in one jacket pocket, and clear safety glasses in the other, along with ear plugs.
My registration and proof of insurance is in a zip-lock bag under the rear seat cowl.

The Icon mil-spec vest has a some pockets which is decent.
For the bike, I have a Dowco Rally Pack tank bag, but that’s presently unused. Haven’t figure out what to do with it yet or what to put in it, really.

Also, on warmer days, I wear Riggs Wear Ranger pants — double cordura thigh/knee, gusseted crotch; durable stuff, and the same material that is used in riding pants/jackets. I wear some knee/shin armor underneath (velcro straps hold them in place), and they work well. And… Only $33 at denimexpress.com… Hard to beat that.
