    And no, I didn’t break my pinkie…

Yesterday on my ride, my bike rolled over 10,000 miles. Ten grand. Now don’t get me wrong, I bought the bike last October, and it already had 4200 miles on it, so by the time the actual buy-date rolls around, I’ll have pretty close to an even 6K miles in a year. Not bad for a beginner with a 17-mile round-trip commute.

And I even took a few extra miles, coming to the garage at the very beginnings of the evening twilight, to make sure I rolled over that 5th digit on the odometer.

Felt good, though I know there are some mileage juggernauts on this site that would put that number to shame in short order.

May there be another order of magnitude on your odometer still to come :)

Fantastic! I like seeing lots of zeros after the first digit. :)

Six thousand miles in a year sounds like a lot of riding, so that’s a very big accomplishment, in my book! Here’s to the next 6k….

Congrats! So far I’ve done just over 5k in 5 months on my new bike.. Got it May 30th with 2100 miles on it and I just hit 7400… But I do a lot of 300mile rides with my MC.. Usually one or two a month.. I should look at my odometer on the 650 and see how many miles I have since I started riding last October.. Wow.. Come to think of it.. I’ve been riding a year now.. Isn’t this when I’m supposed to crash? *knocks on wood* Forget I said that.. Keep up the riding!
