Authorities are looking for a suspect in connection with a fatal accident that killed a Summerwood firefighter around 11:30 p.m. Oct. 12.According to a Harris County Sheriff’s Office press release, Joseph Edward Hadley Jr., 44, of Tomball, was traveling westbound in the 7200 block of Mount Houston on his motorcycle when he was struck behind by another vehicle.
“The driver of the second vehicle did not stop on the scene and fled to the west on Mount Houston,” said HCSO investigator G. Chelette. “Evidence at the scene suggests that the striking vehicle was a 1999 to 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban or pickup [truck].”
Authorities said that the vehicle involved in the accident most likely has heavy damage to the front and possibly on its left side.
Sheriff’s officials said that emergency responders performed CPR on Hadley en route to the hospital but the firefighter died in the early morning hours as a result of his injuries.
Houston Fire Department officials confirmed that Joseph Edward Hadley Jr. was a firefighter at Summerwood’s new station 105, which opened in January of this year.

My heart goes out to the family… though you have probly lived their in Houston long enough to know that the paper is not exactly something filledwith good news. Stick to the Humble local…. might have a chance of some good news like a biker saving a kitten and marrying the owner. They still have warning signs out around 5th Ward?
Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today…… is a Bi**h

He made it from a possible accident to vehicular manslaughter with hit and run.
Anyways I drove that same street that it happened just to look at the surroundings. I decided to put my Ex Army Scout skills to good use:
It is basically a 35MPH zoned, two lane road; one in each direction. The road is on a partial residential, partial industrial/commercial road. The area is pretty bad, mainly ghetto type, a landfill area, but there is a moto-race track there that I never knew about. A couple things didnt add up though. At night, you would be able to see a barreling truck as the road is pretty straight. And with the low speed limit, that means the truck was probably really speeding. The only ways one wouldnt be able to avoid a truck, is that either the truck did not have their lights on or it was intentional ambush coming from one of the many drive ways. There is a lot of “escape routes” that he could have taken, if he saw a truck speeding down the road. Which leads me to believe it was intentional. I don’t…just doesnt make sense to me.
