In my family it is my Mom that names everything…
My bike is “Socks” (think a little black kitten with white paws… only this black kitten happens to be wearing black socks…)

Well my sister name her slow geo metro car Petrie from “land before time some” years ago. I will be naming my bike when I get it but as of yet no name.

Not sure yet, but I may call the new Nighthawk 250 Oliver, as I have mentioned elsewhere. Small, underpowered and reliable. Probably not as reliable on sand as its namesake from “Top Gear”.

Nope, you ain’t the only one that’s thought of it. Most people, though, that I’ve talked to who named their bikes and named their bikes with girl’s names point to the same reasoning a lot of boats and ships have girl’s name – treat her with respect and she’ll always get you home. At least that’s what I’ve heard… Apparently, it doesn’t seem with a name like Oliver you’d fall into this category…

I haven’t thought of a name for my bike, but a while back a friend of mine started assigning all of his vehicles, as well as mine and 2 other friends of ours numbers beginning with DR (for Dark Rider-not sure why). My old Camaro Z28 was DR-86, his cavalier was DR-42, my friend Justin’s jeep was DR-70, and my friend Jamal’s Suzuki Katana 600 was DR-14. No clue where he got the numbers from, but my camaro happened to be a 1986 model so its possibly he got the 86 from 1986.

Also, I’ve owned 5 cars in my life and all my cars had names that were synonyms for “Anger”. My first camaro was “Rage”, my second one was “Wrath”, my Taurus SHO was “Blind Vengeance”, etc

If I were to name my SV I think I’ll stick with that naming theme. I’m not sure what I’ll call it but Fury is the name I’ve been reserving for the bike I eventually upgrade to from the SV when it’s time to move on to a bigger bike. A Honda VFR Interceptor is and always has been my dream bike, and I do plan on eventually trading in the SV for one if I can’t afford to own both.

Earthquake… That was the name of the bike on the photo next to my name..my first bike.. Not riding any at present, just those of my friends but have planned to get one ofter my studies.. Well ye all wondering why I put Earthquake instead of the “famous girls’ names”…Well don’t ye laugh uh but that’s coz the bike used to vibrates when i was riding it, I mean I didn’t feel anything,maybe just at first, but my galfwen had her share when sited at the backseat..lol…My future bike’s name…guess it should be connected to weather but..how about…Tsunami…. hey y ye ol laughing..better this than gurls name..lol..

I was thinking of naming my bike whenever I get it, (hurry up Kawasaki) “My Precious” its mine, my precious. lol or “Aphrodite” but then who knows what name the bike will call out to be called.
