ParticipantHow about allowing members to do profiles on themselves and having a page which lists the members of this fine forum establishment. Some profile thingies members might fill in for themselves:
age, number of bikes, bike models owned, years/mileage experience, likes/dislikes, gear, short self summary…
I’m just throwing this out there as other forums do this and I guess it might be beneficial for new riders who are too shy to sign up to see what other members are using/doing…

ParticipantSomething that might help some of your readers and members in their fight in convincing a family member, friend, or Loved one that riding or getting a motorcycle is not a death trap could be to put a fact and statistics review up. You raise excellent points in alot of your posts in defense of riding motorcycles and it is very helpful. I think it would give you the opportunity to say how you feel about the subject and also give you the chance to get it out without coming off as aggressive or “Soapbox”, as you like to put it.

ParticipantExcellent point, I think I’ll have to write an article like that soon.

ParticipantI’ve been doing a little studying seeing how my wife is having second thoughts on the matter, now. I’m sure I’ll end up with a bike but, it’s gonna take some buttering up to get it. LOL Here’s some sites that I found that look helpful. It appears that vast majority of motorcycle accidents are either alcohol related or of no fault to the rider, at all. Then, the vast majority of the rest are idiots being idiots. Glad I’m not an idiot and the wife knows this.

ParticipantKeeping up with all the maintenance on a bike can be a chore or expensive if you let someone else do it. Maybe a section on upkeep will help out some guys. Just a thought as I change my own oil and check all the nuts and bolts on my bike.

ParticipantI’m actually planning on doing a lot of that stuff in the next few months.
Stay tuned!

ParticipantCan you use PGP code to add italics, bolds, underlines to forum posts? If not, it would be nice to have!
