Has anyone ever ridden with a sidecar? I am curious how they handle – especially on turns and wet roads. I’ve read some online stuff that says to avoid the cheap ones as they pull more and may cause wobble if not adjusted correctly. Being cautious and taking the advise ya’ll hand out – I thought it might add stability. I would only be riding in town and very rarely on the highway. Thanks for any advise or experiences shared! And if I haven’t said it before – I really appreciate this site!

Checkout advrider.com they have an entire section to Hacks (aka sidecars). Lots of sidecar drivers there. I kinda like idea of a motorcycle that can be safely ridden in snow…

I like the idea of being able to pull a pin and the car and bike go in different directions around an obstacle and meet back on the other side. I am sure this happens in real life all the time.

Budd – You’ve been watching too much “Wallace and Gromit”.

I really hope that it is not just held on with a pin…. a few bolts would be nice! In fact, I’m wondering if they can weld them together! LOL And I must be getting old – I thought it was the road runner and coyote.

Thanks – I’ll check out the web site at advrider.com.

Hey, I checked out the advrider website – it is huge! Actually, it is overwhelmingly enormous. I spent a loooong time trying to wade through the discussion threads for information on sidecars. But I also learned a lot!

Great site – thanks for the suggestion, Matt!
