Hi…new to the forum…have a 2006 Kawasaki 750 Vulcan that has shut down on me the last 2 times I have been out…after 20 minutes or so, it will crank back up and get me home…have tried the open gas tank and start…doesn’t work on this one…any suggestions…

my wife has a 2005 Kawasaki 800 Vulcan…she has no problems…we filled up together the last time we filled up…both bikes have around 1000 miles on them…

    would appreciate any help…thanks

Is your bike shutting off when you are riding or when at a light? Checked the fuel line? I’m assuming it’s carb’d?

the bikes aren’t new, but new to us…the shut down occurs while riding…last time after about 40 miles…the time before after about 10 miles…

both bikes have about 1000 miles on them…I changed the oil a couple of weeks ago…cleaned the screens etc…the bike is carb’d…skip

does it just die and leave you to coast….does it spit and sputter then shut down?

would get the bike looked at, could be a carb, a partially clogged hose/line as random as it seems it could just be the fuel pick up. Either way definitely get it looked at. Nothing worse then not wanting to ride cause your not so how far you can go.
