Saw some irresponsible riders tonight

I was out riding tonight, pretty late (after 1:30 or so). I was on Storrow Drive, which is kind of like a highway in that it’s limited access, but it’s more curvy, has a slower speed limit, and gives good access to points throughout the city of Boston. I had just gotten on at one and and I see a couple bikes coming up quick behind me. They zoomed past me in the next lane over. I was probably going about 55 in a 40 zone, but they went past at 75 or 80. They slowed down on a straightaway, which I thought was weird. I assumed they had seen a cop, but they just wanted to let traffic go ahead of them so that they could start doing wheelies. They were both on GSXRs and they looked like they knew what they were doing. They both had on helmets and these armor tops that were just vests (T shirt under the vest, and jeans on the bottom). I’ve seen these vests before, every time on guys with sport bikes that are probably at least a liter.
I watched them, but kept my distance so that a cop wouldn’t think that I was with them. As irresponsible as it was, it was pretty impressive. We were going in the same direction, so I rode with them for 15 minutes or so and we exchanged some greetings at a stop light later on.
They’re definitely the kind of guys who gives sport bikes the stereotype that there is.

I have to be honest, if I had a bluetooth enabled helmet I would have called the cops on their ass. I would be surprised if none of the cars did. There are plenty of empty country roads around if you want to be doing that kind of thing. If you are doing it on state highways in the middle of the day it is to get attention. I only hope the attention they get comes with blue lights.
This happened near Puyallup WA which is where briderdt is from. I did have a 2nd look to make sure there was no yellow SV650 there

Does anyone know anything about the Vision 250cc. Has anyone ever ridden one, or heard about it? By the photos it appears to be a regular motorcycle. There is one for sale in Sacramento, CA which is close to me and I have been wanting to get a Honda Rebel 250cc, but they are few and far between. Want to find a good beginners bike, something that will not breakdown a lot and I can just rider for sheer enjoyment of it. Ninja? Too quick?
