Hi all, could some one please give some suggestions on where to purchase saddle bags and proper mounting hardware for my bike. It would be very much appreciated and save me lots of time, Thanks, Marlene

Kawasaki makes saddle bag supports and also come with a relocation kit for the license plate and signals to accommodates for bigger bags. I have 11x9x6 on my V500. THey are enough to hold my rain gear on one side and miscellaneous stuff on the other. I did not need to use the relocating kit for the signals. You can also look at places like Scootworks.com and others for them. Your dealer should also be able to help you.

You were satisfied with the quality? And are the bags just thrown on the rear fender and then held on by the seat pegs? Any other hardware needed to keep the bags off of things? Brackets? If so, what did you use? Thanks in advance.
Marlene, I don’t mean to “threadjack” your thread but hopefully you will benefit from my questions too.

The jacket I want is $300, best price, so I’m debating about getting something cheaper with the idea of getting the higher dollar stuff down the line. As far as carrying stuff, all I use is a backpack so I would definitely love some kind of bag. Thanks again.

I’ve got a mesh Motoboss Jacket that I bought at the local Cycle Gear and that’s the only jacket I’ve been wearing. It was high 40’s this morning and I felt pretty good wearing that with a tee shirt and a thin dress shirt. My next jacket will be leather. The one I want is the Joe Rocket Kawasaki ZX Leather Jacket but, as I said, I might go for a hundred dollar one until I feel like dropping 300 bucks. I’m good on boots. I have some Harley Hustin (harness) boots, some $30 Icon boots, and some comfortable touring boots that I’m wearing today.

I just want to make it out of this life alive…
