Hi, I’ve been riding for about 2 months and so far am pretty confident with my bike (gs500f) but my road test for my license is coming up on the 11th.
Everyone I know has failed their first time haha, but I was wondering if there are any tips I should know before taking this test.

Also, If I do end up failing (hopefully not) would I have to take the permit course again?

any help would be great! thanks!

Be in complete control of your bike at slow speeds…. basically, practice a lot in first going really slow.

spaz’s right… try controlling your bike at slow speeds and practice around cones, serpentine and ect. do everything slowly and know your braking limit, acceleration and clutch. know where the friction zone of your bike is and dnt use front brake, just the back would do! luckluck!

Haha sounds like I have a challenge for myself, I’m in pretty good control of my bike at low speeds, but i use the front brake for a majority of the stopping power….well, a combination of both front and back.

Front brake 70% rear brake 30%. have you taken the MSF. If not you should really do so.

two months can be enuf to get a license but it ain’t enuf to be confident about a bike…you never can be…slow speeds=rear brake only…
