Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the site, but I’ve been lurking the forums for a while.
My wife and I bought a couple of motorcycles a couple of weeks ago and have been drooling over them and sitting on them while we awaited the MSF BRC course. Well, Friday we started the class so far so good. Tomorrow we do our final riding lesson with the class (every ride is an opportunity to learn something new right ) and take the test.
What we noticed tonight was that my wifes brake lever on her V Star 250 was a little too far away from the throttle for her. She has small hands, but unlike my bike, her lever doesn’t seem to adjust. Does anyone know if there are any after market levers that would help someone with small hands. Just watching her contort her wrist to reach the brake lever seems like an accident waiting to happen.
I checked JCwhitney and found “GOLD WING® WIDESTYLE LEVER SETS” which say they are good for people with small hands, but not being adjustable makes me wonder.
Any help would be great. Thanks a lot

sadly I can’t help you with the break levers, mostly I wanted to ask you how your wife’s liking the V-Star 250. as thats top on my list of first bikes to get.

August 10, 2008 at 9:09 pm #10217Chris PParticipantI’ll look into the Pazzo levers. Also my rider coach was telling me today that we should call the bike shop. He said they should be able to adjust them or suggest an alternative.
As for the performance of the V Star, I wish I could say. We have been waiting till the end of the MSF course to take them out, so we haven’t ridden them yet .
On a good note, we passed the road test this afternoon so in about two weeks we should get our new licenses in the mail . Still got a lot of learning to do tho. I am well aware that there is a HUGE difference between a controlled course going 15mph and the street
Thanks again for the suggestions and comments.
