2 days ago my bike was running fine, i rode it about 40 miles round trip and had no problems with it. Today i went to ride it to work and the following happened. I turned the bike on (with choke as i always do) and everything was fine, i took the choke off put it into first gear and as i started to roll the bike lost power and shut off on me. Turned it back on, started letting go of the clutch started rolling the throttled and off again.
I parked the bike and proceeded to again turn it on (starts fine, no hesitations and also idles perfect) but it seems that as soon as i roll on the throttle and it gets to 2k/rpm it begins to sputter and shut off. I turned the bike on again, this time had the choke on full (idles @ about 3k/rpm) and the bike seems to respond fine to the rolling of the throttle but still sputters. I thought it might be a carb problem so i went out and got me a bottle of the “miracle potion” known as seafoam added it to the tank, waited 5 min, tried again and nothing. I turned the bike back on and let it run for about 5 min not trying to throttle, to let the seafoam circulate and the bike still shuts off as soon as i try and throttle it. Any ideas? I am a noob and still getting the hang of this bike thing but would love to be able to figure out what the hell is wrong with the bike.
Does it sound like a carb problem? water in the fuel tank?(i keep the bike covered so i have no idea how water got in). I also noticed (and please excuse my noobness if this happens on every bike and i have never noticed) but whenever i turn the bike on, and it is leaning on the kickstand the oil in the little glass indicator on the side of the oil tank dissapears, meaning it looks as if there is no oil in there and then when you straighten up the bike it shows the oil level as being full. I appreciate any and all help guys.
P.S. The gas tank is also 2/3 full
P.S.S. I’ve been thinking about it and problems seem to have started after i hosed down the bike…Could i have gotten water somewhere it don’t belong? If so where?

Does the engine cutoff happen when you throttle up in neutral, or only when the clutch is engaged?
How many miles on the bike and could there be a problem with a clogged air or fuel filter?
Another thought is an engine seal leak preventing a proper vaccuum from forming when you throttle up, but I’m a n00b too and just engaging in “idle” speculation (sorry about the bad pun)…

As far as the seal i also wouldnt know lol i was kinda hoping seafoam would take care of all that crap…Any suggestions as far as links or places to visit that might guide me in this ordeal? Thanks for the quick reply!
