I am happy to report that I passed the MSF course this past weekend (I had such a good time!) and am waiting to receive my waiver and take the DMV test to get my endorsement. However, as I don’t have the money for a bike at the moment, I am concerned that I will lose the skills I learned during the course before I can actually get on a bike again. Any suggestions for how I can practice and keep my skills up while I save up for a motorcycle? Are there places that rent bikes?

Don’t buy a new bike for self practice though get a used 250 Ninja or cruiser to practice on and it will be more forgiving on your skills, wallet and ego. I can’t imagine having a brand new bike and the stress with not wanting to scratch or drop it.
