Whatever happened to the owner reviews that Ben requested? I honestly expected him to be deluged with would be writers sharing their opinions on their gear & bikes (gawd knows we are not slow to share opinions on the forums). Hopefully we did not all ignore him (I know one person did review a jacket). I did think about writing something but it’s hard to review something when I have nothing to compare it against. So far I have owned one of everything (boots/pants/jacket/gloves/helmet) and I am happy with my purchases but could I have done better? Dunno.

But, maybe on this site beginners opinions are as valid as any other?

I wanted to write a review but I had the same problem you do, I don’t have anything to compare my stuff against because everything I have is a first for me. If I crashed or something, then I could probably write a good review on how my stuff performed but, I’m not really hoping for that chance.
