Out for a ride tonight…

I headed out for a ride tonight…just after a thunder shower. Nice and cool…and the bugs were still in hiding for the most part…I thought I would try out my new camera I bought for $15, but I didn’t know I had it set on Lo-Res…oops…
The clouds started to follow me…
This is what was ahead of me…
The clouds were starting to move pretty fast.
Made it to the boat launch…but…
That was the way I had to head to get home, just around the other side of the lake…
Maybe I should just keep going North…lol
Oh well, water won’t kill me…not made out of sugar (or something like that)…the bike seems to go faster in heavy down pour…lolJune 30, 2010 at 11:14 pm #27272gitchy42Participant
Looks like some pretty country, and a nice looking bike. Hope you didn’t get caught out in the storm…..or if you did, hope you didn’t get too wet.July 1, 2010 at 6:30 am #27281madjak30Participant
I am enjoying riding…and I really like my GS, it’s a great little bike. I’ve been thinking of upgrading, but I really like everything…well everything Suzuki, lol…from the Bandit, to the Gladius, to the Boulevard cruisers and every once in a while I want a V-Strom…I may just keep it until I atleast narrow it down to one style of bike…
I’m sure my wife is sick of me saying “Honey, I’m just gonna take the bike for a little ride”, then not coming home for a couple of hours. The pics I took were around the lake, you know, where the trees are. Everywhere else is fields of crops…it can be nice when the wind is blowing and you get the wave effect on the crops, but the roads are so straight. I’ve contemplated moving to the States for the longer riding season and somewhere that has some nice twisties…lol
I can just hear that conversation…”why did you want to move? SO YOU CAN RIDE YOUR BIKE??? GET BENT!!!”…yeah, I’ll skip that one and just plan some summer road trips…lolJuly 2, 2010 at 2:21 am #27290gitchy42Participant
Yeah, the ‘amber waves of grain’ are pretty (I know, it’s from America the Beautiful, but Canada is an American nation too, right?), but you’re right, long and straight can get boring fast. Maybe a cruiser, to make it more comfortable at least? lol, Now, if you have the conversation with the right person it could go more like:
“Why did you move?”
“I like the opportunity to ride my bike more often on more interesting roads”
“Oh, yeah, I can see that…”
Of course….probably not how it would go with your wife….
