To adress some earlier posts about this I saw this in today’s news….

Now hopefully it will be a huge turn out! Man every week I hear about some one going down. It’s to the point my girl doesn’t even want to look.

Earlier this week we had a woman fall off a bike and get pulled under a double trailered semi on the Glenn Highway. What I later found out was that she was not the operator of the bike. Her boyfriend who didn’t take any kind of course and was showing off accidentally dropped his partner on the road while trying to wheelie. The boyfriend and his GSXR are just fine and the girlfriend survived but is uncouncious in intensive care awaiting multiple surgeries. Safety only works if you apply it. Make BRC mandatory and include some nice aftermath footage and testimonials of those who made mistakes and those who suffer because of them. Not so much as a scare tactic as much as it would let them know the risks they take and how their actions on the road affect everyone around them. If you don’t know the risks and how to minimize them when applicable how can you ride safely among us.

I was out of town last week and missed the one you mentioned above, but there have been two riders killed this week (one outside of Fairbanks and one in Sutton). I passed another motorcycle accident as I was leaving work yesterday. It looked like the rider was conscious, not sure if he was wearing a helmet. I didn’t see anything about it in the paper today…

Bad deal. Kiss your kids and ride safe y’all.
