Hi all!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I was just reading online reviews about bikes and came across this site. I started riding in the Spring of ’08. I took the MSF and bought my bike a few weeks after completing the course. I ride an ’08 Suzuki SV650. I have already put almost 3,000 miles on it after one summer. I live in Indiana and actually got to ride yesterday for about an hour and its February! I definately have riding fever and can’t wait for the weather to change for good!

Hey! I started last spring too and my first bike was an sv650s! we’re like motorcycle twins!

Howdy! Welcome to the site. Glad to here you got to get back on. Fortunately my riding season is really only limited to my tolerance. I ride as long as there is no frozen stuff.

We are motorcycle twins! I love my 650. I did a lot of comparing and researching to find the perfect starter bike. I was going back and forth between the 650 and the ninja 250. I think my parents were the only 2 people who suggested I get the 250..haha. Everyone else said the 250 is a decent bike, but that I would get sick of it after a few months of riding. Needless to say I am soooooo glad I went with the 650!!

Hi, Brittney. I live in Indiana, too, and actually have been riding all winter. I bought my bike in October and put 3,000 miles so far. Indy has been much more fortunate this winter than other areas of the country. I have a Blast now, but am thinking about my next bike being a SV650.

I feel for you Midwest riders having to deal with the cold. Here in California, I’ve had to zip the liner into my riding jacket and if temps dip any lower (like below 40 in the morning), I may be forced to zip the vents closed on my sleeves!!!

hahaha… ok… we’re like opposite twins then… I was looking between an R1 and nothing… glad my buddy talked me down to the sv650…
