    Hello,

I like the simplicity of the 2008 Honda Nighthawk 250. But…the dual purpose 2008 Kawasaki 250 or 650? look great.
Ultimately, the better choice must exist. Which is it?

I orginally was going with the KLX250 as my first bike, but I got the DRZ400SM instead. My friend has a KLX250, it’s awesome offroad. I kinda wish I have the KLX250 too… but the DRZ400SM held up pretty well offroad. If you’re a new rider, I’d recommend the one of those 250cc. If you plan to hit the trails, KLX is the way to go. Cruising, get the Nighthawk. You could always upgrade later, might as well buy the cheaper one. You gonna drop it, even if you don’t plan on it. The KLX is pretty durable.

Just be careful when buying, if you feel you will want the big brother to the KLX the KLR650 then look for one and get it. When I ro0ed one I didn’t see much of a power struggle between bike and user. Although one thing you do have to watch is they do sit a bit high, but eh, its like riding your big sisters bike when you were 7, you may have to use a curb :D

just make sure you’re comfy on it.
