greetings. I’m a new rider looking for a beginner bike. So far I’ve read that keeping the cc’s small is a brilliant idea for new riders. I’ve have looked at a couple of 250 cc’s online, and I wonder if they are too small for me. I carry a 6’5″ frame at 170 lbs. should I consider stand over height in a bike? would a 250 cc bike be too small? should I consider something with 500cc engine? will they be any bigger? does it make a difference?

Woah …easy there killer. Best thing for you to do is take a week end and go rest your rump on some. Comfort comes different to everyone.
    Welcome to the board though!

Check out a bunch of different dealers, because as Munch says everybody’s comfort needs are different. Different dealers will have different things in stock, and just because the Honda dealer doesn’t have a combination that fits you and meets your skill level doesn’t mean that the Yamaha or Kawasaki dealers won’t.
