Hello! I just came upon this forum today doing a web search for something else. Cool to see a forum like this. My wife and I just took my MSF class in September and we purchased our first bikes
For her, an ’07 Yamaha V-Star 650 which she purchased in September. I took a little more time looking for something that fit me better being taller (6’2″) and purchased an ’07 Triumph Bonneville end of November.
Lucky we get plenty of days in the 40’s, 50’s and higher off and on throughout winter in Colorado. That has given me the chance to ride off and on since the purchase. I plan to take the 6 hour refresher course come Spring, but so far I am loving my Bonnie! Very user friendly bike, very fun to ride, very confidence inspiring. It has been a real pleasure getting started with her.

Too much to do today, but 50’s for the next 4 days, so definitely getting some riding in!

Where it does excel is in practicality. Not exactly typical praise for a motorcycle (or scooter) but important when you do not have a car. I can load that thing up with a week’s worth of groceries fairly easily. I see me buying something else and keeping this as my work horse and go to bike in foul weather. But it could be I do not appreciate what I have and will come to love this ugly thing when I get something else. Part of the reason I want to hang on to it.
