Got my bike about a week ago and will be taking the MSF course in a few days. I haven’t ridden it yet, but it’s been VERY tempting to do so….must hold back a few more days!! Just thought I would post here as this site aided me in my choice of a first bike. Here’s my new baby:

I’m not normally a sport bike fan, but I saw some ’08 Ninja 250s sitting next to the Vulcan I want in the showroom… it’s one of the best-looking sport bikes I’ve ever seen.
I love the color on your bike, sjafi… it looks freaking sweet.April 22, 2008 at 2:58 pm #5752HolyBatFartParticipant
Gorgeous bike! I’m trying to work towards one nowApril 22, 2008 at 3:02 pm #5753joshmParticipant
The new 250’s are great looking. I was planning on buying one, but I just don’t like the sport bike feel. Your new bike looks awesome!April 22, 2008 at 4:58 pm #5757BenParticipant
That is a beautiful bike! I really liked the green color, but man that blue looks so good! Congrats on the bike

They did have a green one, but I wasn’t digging it so much. I think the color looks great in some light, but a lot of the time it looks almost yellow-green. If they ever make a deep green color I’m all over that
I will post a pic or two later once I get started riding. 1 day left on the MSF course, then I get to practice with my baby around the neighborhood and in the parking lot!
I’m not sure how familiar anyone here is with breaking in a bike, but I decided that going the “hard” route is better for the seals. I am, however, not sure how I will be able to achieve this while I am practicing with my bike, as I have read the first 30 miles are the most important for the break-in process.April 26, 2008 at 10:09 pm #5832uncle_bernieParticipant
I bought my current bike on the Thursday before the weekend I was to take the MSF course. Man, I know what you mean about the temptation. I started the bike in the driveway just to hear and feel it, and “rode” to the end of the driveway, duckwalked it back, rode to the end of the driveway…. Anyway, you’ll feel much better riding it after you take the course. They teach you so much in such a short time!
Anyway, I like the classic looking bikes more but that blue “shore is purty”. Good luck and good times out there on the road

Love the bike!!!! That’s actually the same exact color I wanted. Just not sure if I want the Ninja or maybe a Honda. (was also looking at the Buehll 1125, but that seems a little too much for me). All these choices!!! Its worse than when I was researching for my first car! You are one lucky…. CONGRATS!

I wish they sold the blue model in Canada. It would be my first choice. However we only are offered the Green, Red and Black, up here. I am going with the red after much debte between that and the green, finally settled by the colour of the jacket I just bought. Enjoy the sweet ride,

That is the exact bike I have been looking at for quite some time. I’m planning on taking the MSF course first before getting the kawi so that I can enjoy the ride home from the dealer.
