Got my bike about a week ago and will be taking the MSF course in a few days. I haven’t ridden it yet, but it’s been VERY tempting to do so….must hold back a few more days!! Just thought I would post here as this site aided me in my choice of a first bike. Here’s my new baby:

I love the color on your bike, sjafi… it looks freaking sweet.

I will post a pic or two later once I get started riding. 1 day left on the MSF course, then I get to practice with my baby around the neighborhood and in the parking lot!
I’m not sure how familiar anyone here is with breaking in a bike, but I decided that going the “hard” route is better for the seals. I am, however, not sure how I will be able to achieve this while I am practicing with my bike, as I have read the first 30 miles are the most important for the break-in process.
April 26, 2008 at 10:09 pm #5832uncle_bernieParticipantI bought my current bike on the Thursday before the weekend I was to take the MSF course. Man, I know what you mean about the temptation. I started the bike in the driveway just to hear and feel it, and “rode” to the end of the driveway, duckwalked it back, rode to the end of the driveway…. Anyway, you’ll feel much better riding it after you take the course. They teach you so much in such a short time!
Anyway, I like the classic looking bikes more but that blue “shore is purty”. Good luck and good times out there on the road

(was also looking at the Buehll 1125, but that seems a little too much for me). All these choices!!! Its worse than when I was researching for my first car! You are one lucky…. CONGRATS!
Ride Safe!
May 2, 2008 at 11:03 pm #5952GuinnessParticipantI wish they sold the blue model in Canada. It would be my first choice. However we only are offered the Green, Red and Black, up here. I am going with the red after much debte between that and the green, finally settled by the colour of the jacket I just bought. Enjoy the sweet ride,
Cheers
May 3, 2008 at 12:08 am #5953datattooedParticipantThat is the exact bike I have been looking at for quite some time. I’m planning on taking the MSF course first before getting the kawi so that I can enjoy the ride home from the dealer.
Beautiful bike!!
