    Well, the order is in.

SuperbikeStore.Net emailed me to let me know they were out of stock and will have it to me in a week or so after they get them in.

Believe me, the wait is well worth it.

I’ll let you guys know what I think of it.

You could try ordering it from Johnson Leathers as they are the official distributor of this product. It appears they have it in stock (although I did not try ordering one). I bought mine from them some months ago and was pleased with the experience. From what I remember there was not a lot of communication from them but they shipped the product very quickly which is the most important thing.

OK, I just got an email telling me they won’t have them in stock till 9/17. I canceled my order.

I took your advice and ordered it from Johnson Leathers. Damn those guys nickle and dime for everything. $5 for them to put it in a freeking box on top of UPS shipping? *rolls eyes* Oh, well, it’ll never matter to me if I ever have to put the Sub-4 to use someday.

It’s been too long for me to remember all the details but I do remember being put off by their amateurish website. That raises alarm bells with me when they are asking for my credit card details. But, other than almost no emails from them (another red flag) I was happy with the experience. They shipped it quickly and it arrived quickly which at the end of the day is all I care about.

Plus, after the confusion over the original TPro back protector where it was marketed in the States by Joe Rocket but turned out to be an inferior product, I wanted to be sure I was getting the real deal.

I got a call from Johnson Leathers. They are out of stock, too.

But one of the people they supply, a place in Michigan, http://www.podiumsuperbike.com has them in stock. Kinda funny, because they’re literally three cities south of where I grew up. It should be out by Wednesday at the latest.

Man, who knew buying a back protector could be this hard. I feel like I’m trying to score drugs or something.

OK, Sub-4 arrived like a week ago. I’ve been meaning to bump this thread up.

So far, so good. Very comfortable. Other than noticing a little more restriction in the waistband when I’m breathing, I don’t feel it at all. The reviews are right, it is pretty darn good. Well worth the work to hunt down this piece of British engineering.

For the price, it’s priceless. It could literally mean the difference between ending up from a crash stuck in a wheelchair for life, or walking away in pain.

I’m still thawing out from a ride I got back from. 45 degree outside. Even with a sweater on under the mesh jacket with liner, it’s still cold.
